Publication of the 2026 IFA-Ethics & Boards Responsible Governance Barometer

Ethics & Boards and IFA are publishing the 10th edition of their annual Barometer on responsible corporate governance among SBF 120 companies. For this anniversary edition, the Barometer takes a look back at a decade of evolving governance practices and continues its analysis of the major transformations reshaping the role and responsibilities of boards. Sustainability governance, stakeholder considerations, board structure, composition and diversity, executive remuneration, and emerging strategic issues: these are all dimensions that help measure the changes underway and the new paradigms that boards must now address.

This 10th edition therefore provides an opportunity to step back, identify the trends that have become firmly established, and shed light on the new challenges facing boards. As every year, the averages neither reflect the most advanced governance practices nor those with the greatest room for improvement. Above all, they serve as a benchmark, enabling each board to reflect on its practices and continue considering the conditions required for increasingly responsible governance.
